From the Touraine region comes the 2022 Nicolas Barbou Oisly Utopie Creative, a captivating expression of Sauvignon Blanc. This wine originates from a single 1.5-hectare vineyard in Oisly, where vines planted in 1975 root themselves in a unique soil composition of quartz and sand over clay. The winemaking process begins with whole-grape pressing, preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit. The wine then undergoes a lengthy 20-month aging period in 30% new Burgundy barrels crafted by renowned coopers Damy & Rousseau, adding complexity and subtle oak nuances. This meticulous approach results in a limited production of just 2,100 bottles.
