Champagne Grand Cru Malo

This Champagne hails from the prestigious "Malo" vineyard in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru site renowned for its chalky soils. The vines, planted on a mid-slope with an east/southeast exposure, benefit from optimal sun exposure and excellent drainage. The wine is produced using traditional methods, with grapes hand-harvested and gently pressed. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on the lees in 228-liter and 400-liter barrels for 11 months. A perpetual reserve of Chardonnay from the same plot is maintained to add complexity and consistency to the final blend. Bottled on August 1st, 2022, without fining or filtration, this Champagne is a testament to the purity and elegance of the Chardonnay grape. The dosage, derived from the perpetual reserve, adds a delicate sweetness that balances the wine's acidity and minerality. Disgorged on April 2nd, 2024, this limited-edition cuvée offers a glimpse into the exceptional quality of the 2021, 2019, and 2017 vintages.
